The Apostolic Catholic Church in America is committed to the pursuit of Christian unity because we believe God has called the church to be one body, not a fragmented collection of competing institutions. This is not a program we adopted. It is a conviction we carry.

At the heart of our faith is the prayer Jesus offered at the Last Supper, that all who follow him would be one. That prayer has never expired. It calls us still. We hear it echoed throughout the epistles and across the history of the church, and we take it seriously as a mandate for how we engage the broader Christian world.

We believe that the Eucharist is not the property of any single jurisdiction. It is the table of Christ. And it is at that table where unity is not just prayed for but practiced. We work toward full communion with other jurisdictions not out of institutional ambition but out of faithfulness to the Gospel we share.

The ACCA recognizes and maintains formal intercommunion relationships with select independent Catholic jurisdictions. Those relationships are built on shared faith, mutual recognition, and a common commitment to the people we are each called to serve. The jurisdictions listed on this page are those with whom we are in full communion.

The Convergent Catholic Communion is a family of churches and ministries that holds together the sacramental, evangelical, and charismatic streams of the Christian tradition. They are apostolic, affirming of LGBTQ persons, and committed to a genuine welcome at the table of Christ. Like the ACCA, they believe the church exists for the people in front of it, not the other way around. We are honored to be in full communion with them.
